I would rather see Rodriguez on the Reds next year and someone else besides Stubbs in center. Did anyone check out Phipps line. Hope he has gotten whatever was wrong with him worked out. Perez has also shown promise although he seems awful hot and cold.

Have to go with Rodriguez on this one. He should be up right now replacing Cairo or Rolen.

In a similiar vein Encarnacion just got a 3 year 27 million dollar contract. Doing fairly well as a DH/ 1Bman.

I concur.
Rolen should retire or put himself on the DL.
But Rolen is totally self-absorbed spoiled child still. He wasn't able to get along with any manager he ever had before Dusty. Toronto practically gave him to the Reds to get rid of him. BTW, after Rolen came to Cincinnati he immediately went to the disabled list for headaches. Not now though. They say he is a good example to young players. Example of what, How to do whatever you want, not pull your weight and get away with it.

I kinda concur.
As someone that actually did cover sports your website was a little dis heartening. I worked as a stringer for the Mt. Vernon News in Mt. Vernon Ohio covering highschool teams like the Utica Redskins, Danvile Blue Devils, East Knox Bulldogs, Centerburg Trojans etc. I actually saw Tim belcher when he was a Highland Fighting Scot. No ne every thought he would be a major leaguer. He wasn't even the star of his team. I also covered the Kenyon Lords and some Mt Vernon Nazarene College Cougar sports. I edited the MVNC basketball program one year while I was there. I ran cross country and track. ( the sports that you compete in because you can't play anything. I did play high school basketball at Cincinnati Christian. Iusually got to play when there were two minutes left in the game and we were down by 30 which was often.) I got paid 10 bucks a story plus gas.
I won an award from my college newspaer for most valuble staff member, another non sport essay award. Then after a stint in the Army I coached jr. high and freshman football I wasn't very good, but we did win some games. Watch game film. Oh, my goodness, every Sunday was a 10-12 hour ordeal going over game film. Then the Fridays, traveling to some other school to chart every play, formation and what not on future opponents, then putting out a 20 page document on the team for the players. That is scouting.
You are a high school kid that watches games on TV and reads books about football. Give me a break. All you do is repeat things you hear annoucers and coaches say. How about going to your own high school games and actually watching your team play then write about it. You watch all that TV. Get a life. Play a sport. Try and get a girlfriend. There are females in this world and they are a lot of fun to talk to and be with. (Try to keep your clothes on though. Remember a girl's person is above the neck, not below it.)
I'm sorry, you actually are probably a pretty good kid. But don't just write, Live, then write.

I picked Hamilton mostly on hype. My big question is Can he play nthe outfield or will he be another Taveras who couldn't track fly balls well?
Two on the list could already be on the team. Rodriguez could easily replace Cairo or Rolen at this point Joseph could as easily replace Bray. Both should be up in September and maybe be on a playoff tesm.
Loktzr, Cocino, and Cingrani all should make the show someday barring injury.
A notable omission was Bryson Smith. Everyone says he is average, but it is apparent the guy can hit. Guys like that usually make it to the show. Look at Hannigan. No way he was supposed to be here. He wasn't even drafted.

If what you are saying is true then he needs to be brought up quickly. Speed like that is short-lived. It will be gone in five years. He will still be fast, but injries will take their toll. yeah, he will be able to play, but a sore groin a, sore toe, ankle will hinder him and steal the speed.

I like the Simon for Pierre deal. Why not sweeten the package. Ship Stubbs also along with Rolen.
Rolen can go back to where he began his major league career. Call up Rodriguez and let him back-up Frazier, He is also your left hand bat off the bench. I guess you call up Hoover for Simon

He is a left hand bat. I'm not sure Rolen can make it back to full strength for the playoffs either. He has been at third all year

Rodriguez is not just back. He is at Louisville and he hit a home run in his first at bat.

Baker said that if Cueto is picked for the all star team he would not want him to pitch because. he wants him to pitch on the Sunday before and the first game after.
Is LaRussa managing the team? That will be interesting because Cueto got suspended after the fight with the Cardinals for kicking Jason Larue in the head.

If not Moore, how about James Paxton from the Mariners. Former Wildcat, 131 K's in 95 innings last year Low WHIP, 2.47 ERA, 95 MPH fastball, dent curve and change.Seattle needs a first baseman and anyone who can hit. Alonso could probably get him

Don't understand the blank on Phipps. Definitely the best defensive outfielder in the Reds system right now. Has 79 assist in 6 minor league seasons and 24 DP's.
