Released: OF Ryan LaMarre, 2B Donnie Murphy
Outrighted: RHP Chad Rogers
-Rogers' first year pitching in relief has been a disaster. His fringe stuff has always been an obstacle to appearing in the bigs but his current K/BB rate of 1/1 may seal his fate as a career minor leaguer.

Re-Signed: OF Ryan LaMarre
-Ryan, the Reds 2nd round pick of the 2010 draft, was released last week to open a 40 man spot for Raisel Iglesias (who was on the restricted list). He's spent most of the year on the AAA DL after being added to the 40 man roster last November. He has a career minor league slash line of .262 - .346 - .367 (and 128 SB) in 469 games. He'll turn 26 in November.

Traded: C Bryan Anderson to OAK for International Slot Value (#117 - $144,100)
-Anderson (a former Jocketty draftee while with STL) was signed by the Reds in January. He hit .315 - .395 - .530 in 73 games combined between AA Pensacola and AAA Louisville. Though he only threw out 9 of 71 basestealers.
*The Reds were originally given an international signing pool of $2,033,400. It'll be interesting to see if they spend anywhere near that amount, as the vast majority of high $ international free agents are already signed.

Signed: RHP Jesus Reyes (NDFA—Advanced Software Analysis (N.Y.) JC) -Born in the Dominican Republic, righthander Jesus Reyes becomes the fourth-ever Advanced Software Analysis JC product to sign with an affiliated club, though only one of the four - Rays righty Isaac Gil, a 31st-round pick, was drafted. Reyes, who now throws a fastball in the mid to upper 90s, pitched nine games for the Avengers this past season. The 6-foot-2 righty finished second on the staff behind NJCAA All-American, Placido Torres, with 72 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched. Reyes would help ASA to their fifth Region XV-DI title in a row and an undefeated (13-0) home record.
