The battle of the struggling 0-2 pitchers ... Let's hope Arroyo can find his groove this season as the Astros line up can be down right scary. they have a lot of big weapons they can throw out there and lance berkman always seems to have our number

weathers not looking too good with thunderstorms rolling in all night from 7-9. as long as theyre just isolated hopefully the game will be able to start on time. Me personally, I wouldnt mind a little rain delay as I will be busy most of the night and unfortunately again will miss most of the game

There will be a roster move before the game. Krivsky has to do something with Mr. Ross as he rehab assignment has now ended.

I think we'll see the same lineup as last night:
1. Hairston, CF 2. Kepp, SS 3. Griff, RF 4. BP, 2B 5. Dunn, LF 6. EE, 3B 7. Votto, 1B 8. Bako, C 9. Arroyo, P
With as well as Bako has been playing, I see no rush to get Ross back into the lineup. At least wait until we face a lefty to give Ross a start.

What a tremendous lift Hairston provided for this team last night. I really like Hairston in the lead off spot now that I've seen him swing the bat. Hopp is really getting the shaft but the one thing I like about Hairston over Hopp judging from last nights performance is that Hairston has the ability to pull the ball. Hopp is mainly a opposite field hitter and we all know Hopp can bunt for base hits. Hairston has the ability to drive in runs as well considering that we have EE and Votto batting down in the order and getting on base. Hairston looks to be a better hitter than CPat and Freel, so I'm with playing Hairston until he cools off. Which shouldn't be any time soon considering the way he was hitting the ball in AAA.
Another thing, I liked the way Dunn went the other way with his HR last night. He had a base hit to the left-center field gap as well. I really think that Dunn has changed his approach this season. It seems he wants to use the whole field more this season. That ball that went out for a HR, it looked like that Dunn just tried to drive the ball rather then hit a HR which is very nice to see. Dunn will come around. BP also got in some action, he put a nice swing on that HR ball. BP showed great balance on that swing, he simply picked his foot up and set it back down with a nice flick of the wrist. If we can get BP and Dunn going look out.

If Dunn really is changing his approach to be able to hit opposit field more effectively, that would be a passable excuse for the ice cold start. If he gets his bat going and can hit to all fields, then he could still have that career type year some of us were expecting.

I know Bako has been playing excellent the last week or so but Im gonna go with what a poster said earlier. I'd like to see Ross behind the plate tonight just for the simple fact he and Arroyo have had good chemistry between them, and Arroyo could use a confidence/comfort boost right about now. We need him to start performing a little better, and keep us in a game for a little longer.
Besides all that Im superstitous and think arroyo with out ross has been a problem for him. haha
