C-Pat is off to a remarkable start.
On the season, he's got 11 hits. Of those 11, 5 have been doubles and 4 have been homers. He's only got 2 singles.
He is, most definitely, en fuego!!

We'll take it anyway we can get it. Man, where would this offense be without Keppinger? I shudder just thinking about it. Hopefully the weather warms up soon!!!

Patterson needs to be credited with "making something happen" that inning. Most anyone else in our lineup would have been doubled up on his ground ball but he beats it out to allow the run to score and the inning to continue. He steals second and scores on a single by Kepp. If Patterson hadn't been there, we probably don't score at all that inning.
BTW, he got me an RBI, a stolen base, and a run scored that inning. Kepp got me an RBI and hit. I'll take it for fantasy.

Keppinger's slumps don't last long. He has only 1 k since opening day. Also, Patterson only has 2 k's, which is about as important as obp especially with the Reds' offensive woes. Last inning was a good example, putting the ball into play, beating out the double play chance, stealing a base, and scoring. The obp would be none-the-wiser. The old Patterson would have 10 k's by now.
