I hope we get a Canadian. They bloom late so we may get a guy in the 3rd round who turns out to be a 1st round talent.

It'll be interesting to see which way Jimbo goes.

Interesting.
Stanford catcher Jason Castro gets his number called at #10 by the Astros.

Once top 2 catchers went Castro's stock went way way up. Astros knew he would nto fall to them later so they had to take him early. I here rumors that maybe just maybe the abilty to trade picks will be on the board next year so this might not happen again. Astros could trade up into the later rd 1 area to get this guy if they could make trades.

How about this guy: Anthony Gose.
He wants to come out as a position player like Hicks, but as a pitcher he has a 70 grade on his fastball with 60 movement. Oh and he's a lefty. He's raw, but I think he is a good risk/reward player. If anyone has any more info on him I would love to see it.

Smoak is a switch hitter which is better, and is a better defender.

Alonso IMO has the better overall bat. Just a feeling that and he is a guy who should have a better OBP. His OBP was over .570 this year he takes a walk and hits the ball the other way. The Reds scouts liked him better then smoak that is of course the case because from what I read Alonso will want more money.
