Cody Reed is heading to the DL with a cut on his finger. The minor league DL is only 7 days, so he shouldn't miss much time. Get that man some neosporin, stat!

I'm curious how Raisel Iglesias, Brandon Finnegan, and Robert Stephenson have stayed healthy, when everyone around them has gotten hurt.

Check out Pensacola's pitching. Talk about dominant.

Would you still trade him for Forrest Walls? I thought that was a pretty good proposal.

Would you still trade him for Forrest Walls? I thought that was a pretty good proposal. I think I still would, I'm a big believer in Wall's bat, plate approach, and he has solid speed as well. Both were top 100 prospects coming into this year and I think both may be top 50 prospects by the end of the year. The Reds have great pitching depth and you aren't going to get value without giving up value. It has almost no chance of really happening given how scarce prospect for prospect trades are, but it's an interesting hypothetical. While we have him, if Garrett beats out our other future SP options, then get him in the rotation.

Has Amir Garrett made improvements and taken a step forward, or is he just getting lucky or something so far?

Still a very small sample size, but Garrett's control so far this year had been excellent, while increasing his K rate. I read about his changeup being improved to at least average, in that it's a usable MLB pitch. A nice thing about basketball delaying Garrett's development, is that we'll have control of him ages 25-31.

Only if he can actually stick on the 25 man roster, because he'll probably be out of options once he gets there.

He's trending towards being ready by then. I daresay he may be a mid year callup next year if he can maintain this kind of control.
