I'm open to bout anyone with mlb experience!! We gotta let Cueto go when he makes a couple more starts and proves himself healthy!! The way the reds luck runs he will blowout his elbow and we will be stuck with close to nothing for him!!

Yes I was one of the few that supported this so called goat all along!! Most fans wanted him gone after he choked up the Giants series!! All I got to say is to be careful what you wish for!! Before dusty got to town the reds had several losing seasons and even if he did not win the big one he at least took em to the postseason!! Dusty is sitting at home watching baseball on tv because no one will hire him.

No way in hell they'd even consider Dusty. Larkin is the obvious choice for the long term solution, but he has indicated he's not ready for such an assignment. What I think will eventually happen is that Price gets canned, Riggleman is given the interim tag for the remainder of the season and Larkin is brought in as the bench coach. I think that Larkin gets the gig as early as 2016 if he wants it. Riggleman will hold down the fort until the time that Larkin wants it.
and as for when this happens, the Reds have some sort of a perverse thing right now about not doing jackshit until after the all star game is in town. Why I don't know. A meaningless exhibition game being held in your stadium shouldn't effect moves that need to be made.

Larkin would be the hometown hero setup for failure!! How many years would we give him to turn this joke around?? Not every team will turn things around like the Astros have early in the season!! I like Larkin but I hate to see him threw under the bus especially with a real young rotation and a minor league at best bullpen!!

That is at least part of the reason that I think he says he isn't ready... cuz he's too smart to walk into a disaster

Im sure he would get a free pass on year one but after that who knows what could happen!!

I don't think the Reds would be a bad job, but it's easy enough to understand why Larkin wouldn't want to commit to the everyday grind of managing...

Seriously doubt that the long grind of coaching will interest Larkin. Seems if he were interested in coaching he would have shown intetest by now. How often do star players become great coaches anyway. It's amazing some decision maker felt the need to hand over a young playoff experienced team to a first year head coach.

Larkin would love to manage. He's gone to other countries to manage on a short term basis. He's just not going to come to a Reds team that's in a clear decline. If we were set up now like we were in 2009 or coming into 2010 with a lot of young talent on the way, he'd take the job in a heartbeat. Same reason why Joe Maddon basically sprinted to the Cubs.

FIRE PRICE NOW! I have no rationale to back up that inflammatory demand other than the pathetic display of baseball I have witnessed the last two years out of the Reds. Granted, Price can not control the flood of injuries the Reds have sustained over the last two seasons, particularly to key players. But my feeling (JMO) is that Price is over his freaking head as a manager of the major league ball team. At the rate this season is going I doubt the Reds win 60 games. I can only imagine that many core Reds such as Cueto, Frazier, and Chapman will be gone by the end of July. Whether their trades result in much only the future will tell. At least with Dusty the Reds were relevant. The Reds are no longer relevant as they sink to the bottom of the NL with Price in command. Time for a change in command. Ideally, Price is fired before the All-Star break with an interim manager named while a thorough meaniful search for the future Skipper of the Reds is pursued. JMO ---one really frustrated Reds fan

Never has a manager pushed the wrong button as many times as Price has this season.
