Meanwhile, we've lost RHP Tim Crabbe to D-Backs (Pick #1 of AAA phase), and 1B Harold Riggins to the Marlins (pick #22).

His name is pretty awesome but ya, doesn't seem to have much else going for him.

His namesake used to sneak into Athens at night, disguised as a woman. AAA parties in Redsland just got more interesting...

From Jim Callis, 2013:
So, he's looking like he could make for a reliever if he has found a 2nd pitch?

If the Reds actually cleared a 40 spot to draft anyone (which I'm not convinced they will do)... it should be someone like this: www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=martin003codWith 4 Starters set to become free agents (and one if not more possibly traded) it'd be nice if they could find a #5 starter or long man - which is what most of those above max out at. Damned Reds...had to have Kevin Gregg

Gregg wasn't on the 40-man roster until after the Rule 5 draft. The likelihood the Reds would've drafted Cody Martin had they had the open roster spot is still pretty small, but I agree with you that this organization needs a new front office.

I was talking about the bullpen spot not so much the 40 man roster spot. But the Reds had dead weight at the Rule 5 draft - failed to take advantage of players who could have been looked at.
