My thoughts are basically the ones I laid out in the original thread on the subject.
It doesn't matter much now, given that everyone in the poll is just about a surefire hall of famer under any standard, but at some point a standard for admission will have to be established. Maybe that's something that should be discussed before hand or maybe it's something that just gets established as we go along.
Second, I think it would be helpful or interesting to have a write up on the qualifications of each candidate for admission. That way, people have a basis for deciding on that player. Again, not a big problem when you start with the surefire guys, but might be problematic as we go along.
I don't know how much interest there will be in this HoF, but maybe people could nominate a player and provide a paragraph or two write-up about that player's baseball career.
Maybe limit the ballot to four guys a month, have a write up on each guy, and leave the first half of the month for discussion and the second half for voting. Or, maybe break the players down into categories like PSU suggested.
I really don't know how to do it best, but those are a few thoughts.

What about a general rule that a player has to have been with the team for at least five years; then four categories: position players; utility players: minimum of 100 games or 200 pas for at least three of their seasons with the team; starting pitchers; relief pitchers; have a preliminary vote on five players in each category: three in each category for the final ballot, and one from each category for the inducted class?
Reds have had so many great players that inductions will be pretty obvious for awhile if we don't break it up in some way...

I think the drawing of the Union Grounds in the Hall of Fame thread shows the Brooklyn ballpark, where the Mutuals played... Here's the Union Grounds in Cincinnati...

I love that logo....wish the Reds used it more.
I saw a sweet sweatshirt in a catalog a few years back that said "Cincinnati Red Stockings" and had that Old English C on it, I loved it, but we didn't order any so I never had the chance to buy it.

I've never seen any clothing modeled on this uniform: maybe a hat with the "C" in this style but nothing else. I like the simplicity of it...
