I have been on this board for 15 minutes and love it. Great job fellows. I was an ESPN board member and became disjusted with all the negativity. I was born a REDS fan and always think positive about them. Now on to some of my thoughts.
i believe the Reds pitching is in a no lose situation. with our starting pitching prospects being 93+mph throwers, even if they fail as starters we have multiple choices for bull pen guys. Now I'm not hoping for this but its not a all or nothing for these guys to be front line starters.
For years i was frustrated because of the state of our farm system. I'm truly on the Krivisky bandwagon. This man is always looking on how to improve the whole organization. To trade a fan favorite and great story for a pitcher 90% of the fan base had never heard of is the sign of dedication to making this organixzation better. Keep stock piling hard throwers and crafty lefties wayno.
Phillips,Arroyo,Keppinger,Ross,Burton,Vasquez,Hatty,Cordero,Patterson, where would this team be without his ability to judge talent.

I think Krivsky gets a bad rap from a lot of the fans and media. The Trade with the Nats was terrible, but outside of that he's been pretty solid. I'm not a fan of the Hamilton deal, but Edinson can change my mind if he puts together a real nice career. Overall, the farm system is in the best shape I can ever remember. It's really improved and it's the lifeblood of this organization. Personally, I think we are about a year away from really putting things together. It should be fun, fun, fun to finally get back in serious postseason contention.

Kriv does deserve some credit, the only thing he has done I really dont like is the Stanton and Ross contracts,
The trade with washington wasnt great but look who we gave up....
Lopez - No longer a starter and is mad about it so will most likely be traded soon
Kearns - I dont know if he is a starter anymore since the Nats got Dukes, Wily Mo, and Milledge in the offseason....
Wagner - still injured....

I think O'Brien gets a lot of the credit for the farm system. However, Wayne has done a great job with trades and evaluation talent. I still don't see The Trade as horrible if Bray becomes a good one out of the bullpen. We could have gotten more for Lopez and the gang but maybe not.

Good point, I should've given some credit to O'B, who had a good scouting eye, but no ability to manage an MLB roster. Or, maybe he had the ability, but was prevented from doing so by Lindner and John Allen. Either way, it was inexcusable to keep 4 starting outfielders when you have no starting pitching. Still, he did help bolster the farm system, that's for sure.
