Thanks for all the feedback.
For the record, I didn't receive any messages calling anyone out by name, rather just expressing concern about a decline in the overall environment as of late. So, I thought it was worth mentioning just to head things off at the pass.

While winning minor league games is nice, it's about 4th on the pecking order of things you look for when looking at the minor leagues.
And even with some of our previous top gus struggling, there are still fun things to watch:
Mesoraco's emergence
Josephs bullpen dominance
Sappelts improving with every level he moves up
Chapman's 103 mph fastballs
Matt Klinker rolling along despite being crapped on by the Reds and denied a deserved promotion
and more, thats just off the top of my head.

If we're doing some Mea Culpas, I too have breeched forum etiquette before, and I do regret it. I would say I was reacting to certain attitudes I found distasteful, but didn't raise the level of debate with my own response.
I hope going foward we all have the kind of lievly, spirited and friendly discussion we want fromthis board, which is by far thebest I have found anywhere in my searches on the net.

Kramer has entered "Crazy Ol Grandpa" territory for me (albeit neither of my grandpas were that way). Pretty much i'll read what he says and take it as the ramblings of crazy ol grandpa, but occassionlly he makes a really good point. Like a moment of clarity.

And Lark, we need a new post count "title" Joe Randa? eh? eh? I was thinking about that the other day, it seems like quite a few new members are here now. Maybe vote on them like we're doing with the prospects??? |
