Well his last outing he had 10 K's in 7 innings...........I am not sure how often he is using his Slider. That's the question, i've been able to hear him twice on MiLB radio but they don't always say what kind of pitch is thrown. If he is just racking up K's by blowing a fastball by a career minor league player, then he isn't getting the point. I doubt i'll have the time to listen tonight, so i'd be interested to hear about what you saw if you get to catch the game.

Bailey getting no help tonight from his deffense. He gives up 3 singles in the 5th 2 of three should have been outs. This infield D might be worst in Minors without janish playing tonight. So far for bailey on the night
5 innings 5 hits (all singles) 2 bb 4 K's 3 runs
tough inning for Bailey there.

I say at the end of May or so there will be a few minor league moves made They might move Thompson up before that but I dont have any problem with them sittin down at the end of May and disscussin everyone that they feel needs moved up or down and then going from there. I think waiting 2 months (April and May) is a fair time table to decide if it was a fluke or if they have really out developed that current level and vice versa. Spring Training you decide where people are going to start the year. May 31st you re-evaluate and make changes that are needed. End of July you re-evaluate and figure out your organizationoal rosters becuase more in likely there has been some movement threw trades and such, take this time to promote and demote where needed. During September you re-evaluate every single player that is property of your team and get a head start on planning for the most part where they will start next year. This is a extremley rough draft of what your organizatinoal depth charts will look like next year because so much can change in the off season and spring training. DISCLAIMER-> This isnt a strict guideline but it gives a fare amount of time to see how the player is peforming and basing a decison off more than a limited amount of games. There can be some movement in between these dates for injurys and other reasons but for the most part this should be your evaulating schedule. This is how I was tought in my Sports Mang Class when we coverd the minor leagues of baseball and prospect development.

Justin Reed 4 for 4 last night including a 2B, a HR, and a SB (8 on the year). He is only 20 years old, has blazing speed, and is finally starting to hit again after an ice cold start and he has cut back on the Ks in teh last 10 games or so. He is now hitting .272 after having his average hover around .120 to start the year.
