He is finally healthy and I think he could actually have the season we've been wanting from him. If he comes together this year that will make our bullpen MUCH better.

He was money last year except for 3 outings that killed his ERA, outside of those 3 his ERA was something like a 1.84 in the other 16 appearances.

I went to the Mets game last year when we lost 10-3(well i think it was i was on the bus by the ^8!) He came and gave up 4 RUNS! I know everyone has a bad day but he has them all the time! Remember in spring training they don't always play the best players and hes a reliever who comes in around the 6th and that's when the most suckies are in!

He had 3 bad outings last year in his 19 appearances. That would be roughly 16% if the time, meaning 84% of the he was pretty damn good. That would be like saying Burton's year last year was crap had he had one rough week.

i sure would hate to see Bray start the year in AAA because we have Mercker AND Stanton in our bullpen. It's not fair to Bray and frankly I don't trust an older guy coming off tommy john surgery facing his first real action in 2 years or an older guy who put up an ERA around 6 in his last couple years in the bigs

Another great inning today with 2 Ks and no base runners. He is making it very hard for the brass to justify putting him in AAA just because he has options.
Bray Affeldt Stanton
That should be our 3 lefties in the pen. Next year Pedro Viola should be able to provide another solid lefty as well, and we may even see him later this year.

Im considering boycotting the Reds if he doesnt make the team out of ST haha Man, he could provide a HUGE boost to the bullpen if he can be healthy and productive. The Reds are currently about 3 deep in the bullpen, so the addition of a lights out lefty could be huge. That said, I won't hold my breath. Unfortunately, with Bray, I'm now forced to take the wait-and-see approach.

Bray needs to be on the team out of ST. If Burton regains his form from last year, we could be very tough after the 6th inning....isn't that refreshing compared to last year's debacle?
