Dunn at 15 mil a year is acceptable. I just wouldn't want to start out paying him 15/year and end up at that 18.5/year area. I have a hard time paying any player that much money unless they are ridiculously good all the way around. There are very few players of that category and I don't believe Dunn is of that category.

I'd use Keppinger as sort of a super sub for all four IF positions.
Doing that he should still get around 400 ABs
Gonzo's glove is superior to Kepps but if EE plays sloppy the first month of hte year I think I'd move to put Kepp there.

I confess, I'm one of those that gets very frustrated with Dunn. However, I dug deeper into his stats this week and have a better appreciation for him. Remember all those struggles against lefties the Reds had early in the year......well, Dunn's OPS stats against lefites are some of the best on the team!
That being said, I am not wild about paying Dunn anywhere near the Carlos Lee category. If we can keep him for 13-14 million per, I say do it. If we can't, let someone else make the mistake of paying a 275 pound "outfielder" 18 mil per year and reap the draft picks.
The Reds are transitioning to a younger team and having one player make such a large percentage of the payroll can't be all that good for team camraderie.

4 years, $60 million, that is about as much as I would spend on Dunn

But as Blee said how sure can we be he wont be awesome, he needs time to play to prove himself. He reminds me a lot of Polanco. I would love to have him on our team also, Perfect 2 hole hitter. So me personally i would take Keppinger over Gonzalez, and try to trade Gonzo at the break for what ever we need.
