Man, the Giants better hope Zito rediscovers his velocity, because they are on the hook for a TON of money. If they have to eat his contract, then they'll be screwed for quite a while.
Here's what Zito is owed over the life of the contract:
07:$10M, 08:$14.5M, 09:$18.5M, 10:$18.5M, 11:$18.5M, 12:$19M, 13:$20M, 14:$18M club option ($7M buyout)

Voltage needs to have a low pitch inning this inning in order to get 7 good innings in today.

No more Zito today. time to play with the pen.
Freel has not lost a step in the speed catagory. (knock on wood for no injury to do so.) I love it. ;D

Voltage had 33 pitches coming into this inning and now he's going to have to work in order to get out of this inning without giving up any runs.

I still get a bit uneasy when Volquez pitches. He's been strong all year, but he still seems a bit like a high wire act. I have to wonder if his shaky control will catch up to him in the future.

Votto and Kepp combine to make a nice play to get Velquez out of the inning.
Who is up next to Pitch from the pen for the gients?

Someone help me out here, is Brandon Phillips sporting a mohawk? Or, are my eyes deceiving me?

BP droops a pop up. How about wearing the glasses where they will help? Note: it is not on your hat.
