I've been unimpressed with Phillips so far this year, so a day off is certainly in order.

Ill take Casey on the bench rather than Hatte. Nothing against Hatte but Casey is more of a presence.

Personally, I'd rather have Hatteberg than Casey.

I rather have Cantu over Hatteberg and Casey right now.
RHB and is on fire with Florida + only making 500,000

word on Casey from the Reds Socks is a right hip flexor strain. He is Day to Day.

Yeah, these West Coast trips destroy ME too. Hope I can stay awake through nine more pathetically unimpressive innings that don't even begin until 10:15...well, TGIF.

pregame: Welsh said something to the gist of: Stop the musical chairs in the lead off spot. stick with a guy and let him get in a grove.
the rest is a tangent so skip If you like or read on for my opinion.
he did that with C-pat and we say what happened. He went back to carer numbers. Is he better then the back of his baseball card? at the moment the answer is no.
H-Jr nice 2 games. It is only 2 games he has a 3rd straight start. nice. His carer numbers are .254 ba obp of .325
sorry to those who do not like really long posts. I got on a tangent.
Is he better than his previous 11 yrs?
That leaves a Hopper on DL who has little more than half a major league season under his belt
Freel has not had the consent starts to get and keep it going.
Please pick someone and go with them.
If it were me I would do Freel and when Hopper comes back play both in CF. Freel 4-5 days in CF Hopper the other games and giving regular rest to Dunn and Jr. A game for each every other week.
but that is me. I just don't see H-jr improving much after 11 yrs. C-pat, I just don't know. this is his 8th year in the bigs. Has he improved a lot from last year and all the others. I do not think so but it is only the 24th game tonight.
The it is early has to stop soon. The first month is almost up. It is no longer early. At least to me.

With the 4 you talked about...here are their career stats as starters..if the website I use is right..
Ryan Freel: In 435 starts: .271AVG .359OBP 130SB C-Patt: In 767 starts: .259AVG .300OBP 166SB Hairson Jr: In 688 starts: .255AVG .328OBP 108SB Hopper: In 78starts: .322AVG .368OBP 14SB
I'm a Hopper fan so I go with Hopper but I could be bias.
