Still just projected lineups up there, here is what I would make the lineup today, given carte blanche: 1. Hairston, CF 2. Keppinger, SS 3. Votto, 1B 4. EE, 3B 5. Griffy, RF 6. Dunn, LF 7. BP, 2B 8. Bako, C 9. Harang, P EDIT:: Of course, as soon as I go ahead and take the time to do this JHockey shows up on the site. I just went ahead because I thought you might be MIA today.

I told you guys Edwin would turn it around....but I'll even admit that he did it more quickly than I expected.
Too bad the rest of the offense isn't following suit....

I'm happily eating a little crow on EE's resurgence. I thought it would take him 2-2 1/2 months like last year to get it rolling, but he is just dialed in these past couple of weeks. He has a .382 OBP as well. With how he is hitting, and how BP is struggling, I think we need to flip flop them and hit EE 4 th and BP 6 th

San Fran has one of my favorite parks in baseball. Nice playing surface, big gaps to hit in, you can run all day. Not to mention the view of the bay. What a nice atmosphere to play some baseball. Now if we could just get back to winning some games. I think this is a pivotal road trip in this young season. We can't go under 500 on this road trip if we expect to get back in the hunt.

In an ideal world, the Reds go 7-2 this road trip and get back above .500 at 16-15. I really think they can sweep the Giants, but then there are two very tough sereis vs St. Louis and Atlanta. Atlanta especailly seems to own us when we play there.

A sweep against the Giants would be a good start but I assumed that we would have sweep the Bucco's. Boy was I was wrong. The series vs the Cards is so important in two ways, first we need the wins, second we have to prove to ourselves that we can play with the top teams in our division. The ATL series will be an interesting one. One that could be the difference in finishing above or below the 500 mark on this road trip. We do have a hard time with the Braves at their place. Didn't we go in their last season and take 3 out of 4 games form them with Livingston pitching and hitting like a man child? We could have even won that series. I think Livingston had 3 or 4 hits in the game he pitched. To bad we don't have him for that series. I think this team misses a guy like Livingston. It certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to have a lefty spot starter at this point.

The Giants are playing good ball as of late. Lincecum was a beast last night, so I'm glad we don't have to face him. That said, Jonathan Sanchez and Kevin Correia can be very tough as well. After that, I assume we get Matt Cain on Sunday, which is always a tough match-up. I'd be very happy if we took 2 of 3 from them.

Hey Lark, are the giants screwing Lincecum´s arm letting him throw 122 pitches?

Hey Lark, are the giants screwing Lincecum´s arm letting him throw 122 pitches? To be honest, I was tracking the game last night and thought he would get pulled after the 6th. I believe he was at 108 pitches, so I was more than a little surprised to see him back at it in the 7th. I'm not wild about the workload, but it'll probably be fine as long as it proves to be the exception, rather than the rule. If they keep running him out there for that long, then I'll be very concerned. For now, it just raised an eyebrow. If he were on the Reds, I'd expect us to limit him a bit more than that.

Every season the west coast road trip always destroy the Reds, maybe this year is the other way. This road trip can wake up our bats. When the reds travel to SF, I always remember that game when Eric Davis belted 3 homers and destroy the giants´pitching. What a ball player!!! www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SFN/SFN198609100.shtml

Yeah, I really miss having such well rounded players as E.D. and Larkin. Those guys were true studs. I'm not sure anyone was as electric as a healthy E.D.
