that we find out about today. Or possibly not make it all the way through the road trip?

There are a few players I could see being moved.
Freel, Hatteberg, and perhaps Arroyo
But I think all of them are on the road trip.
Hatteberg is the most likely to be moved, you don't need to lefty hitting 1B's that are similar players.

We could pretty much scrap 16 guys from our 25 man roster and I wouldn't be upset. lol
Keepers: Phillips Votto Keppinger EE Harang Cueto Volquez Burton Cordero
I'm ready for Griffey to be shipped to Seattle for Jeff Clement. I'm trying to will it to happen. Who's with me? That'd save us from paying the $4M buyout and allow us to bring Bruce up. Plus Clement is much better than any catcher we have in the organization not named Devin.

I'm right there with you trying to will a Jr/Clement trade. hell, we can throw in Ross as well and give them a sweetener like Pelland or Maloney to seal the deal.
I'd keep the bullpen intact though, they ahve been the teams biggest strength so far oddly enough. Even Coffey has been decent in his mop up time, and every team needs an up/down big innings eater.

Wow, I can't believe they extended him. Their GM never fails to amaze me with some of his moves. lol
Seriously, throw Griffey, Ross and Maloney at them for Clement and a lower level pitcher.

How much should we really put into a top notch catcher. I have some issues with throwing some of our better trading chips for a young catcher. I don't think a young catcher is ready to call a game day in and day out, if their offense is really good young I think it will dwindle as years go on in the league and have to focus on their catching duties more. So I just don't see the upside of throwing Griffey and others at a "top notch" young catcher.
IMO, a good catcher comes from a FA signing, after seeing them in the league for a good 5 years, and you try to hold on them for 5-7 years then sign another.
Can somebody tell me more about Clement? Is he "the young catching phenonm" out there right now that can do anything and everything?

If we don't want to go after the young catching phenom, then I'm calling up the Giants and asking about Benjie Molina. I know a few weeks ago there was talk that they wanted a lefty 1b. Send Hatte and Ross there for Molina. He's got a few years left until Devin is ready.
