interesting, looks like Hopper is getting the shaft and could see some extended time in AAA I'd rather he get everyday PT there then rot on the bench here. Maybe he can pull a Keppinger and hit .390 and get called back up and put in the starting lineup.

However, Ross' numbers in AAA scare the bejezus out of me.

When in doubt, throw somebody else on the DL

Right elbow inflammation sounds a lot like Baseball Speak for "we need the roster room."

Shady, very shady I guess that's what you get when your stuck with guys like Havy, Hatti, Freel, and CPat. Not that have a problem with these guys but we have got to figure out something to do with these names. I would expect something to happen within the next two weeks or so before Hopp is due back. This also give us time to see what Ross and Hairston are going to offer for the duration of this season.

It's a move to buy time. I don't think Walt is going to carry three catchers, so this gives him time to work a deal somewhere with one of this extra catchers.

Ross looked good tonight. We'll see if it lasts.

ross does not need to be here! I strongly disagree with that thought. Ross is our best defensive catcher and has a gun of an arm. He just can't hit right handers worth a darn. (vs. lefties his numbers are far more credible). Team him a platoon with whichever of Bako or Valentin survive April and I think you have a very serviceable catching combination. It will be either Javy or Bako who is the odd-man out, IMHO.
