Prepare for "Strip Mining Walt". Guaranteed to trade minor league prospects (top rated or not) for over the hill/injury prone veterans.....
"Lobster backs attack the town again...."

Because bringing in Mark McGwire, Jim Edmonds, and Chris Carpenter really backfired on him You can find a negative with any candidate, and they are not always guaranteed to do the exact same thing in every situation. Otherwise Cueto would have thrown 130 pitches 3 times already with Dusty as a manager, and I think he has topped out at around 102 pitches or so.

Agreed, Wayne has done good things and bad things with us, and i am sure Jocketty will do the same, Maybe other GM's have more respect for Walt to so we may be able to pull off a good trade we thought impossible before now, you never know. Lets just see how it all works out before we start throwing dagger at him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing a dagger at Walt, I think he'll do a fine job.
The problem that I have is the people who rip on Kriv for "the trade" even though it was one trade and it is bound to turn in our favor with Thompson.
Kriv did A LOT of good for this team. Three of our regular every day starters were brought in strictly by him (BP, Kepp, Ross) with absolutely no risk involved. We gave up nothing collectively for those three guys.
Kriv did a good job, and didn't deserve the can.

I never disliked "the trade" as people called it, as they did what was neccessary to try to win. I agree that WK shouldn't have been fired, but i'm not to broken up about it either.
