Prior to tonight's game, RHP Matt Belisle (sore right forearm) was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list. The contract of IF/OF Jerry Hairson Jr. was selected from Class AAA Louisville and IF Juan Castro was designated for assignment.

It said in one article I read that he was owed $1,075,000 plus the buyout of his 2009 option. I thought that his 2008 salary was $925,000 and the 2009 buyout was $150,000 according to the Cot's list site, and so that money was both this year's salary and the option buyout. Does anyone know which one of us is right?

Not sure, but it's great to see him cut loose. He was a terrible signing and a waste of a roster spot.
Was he extended by Krivksy?
