The over/under threads are usually good fun and this seems like a good one on which to start the ball rolling.

It's gotta be OVER. The Cordero signing and addition of Votto alone should be enough to get them over the hump.

I'd have to go with slightly over.
Assuming neutral wins due to offensive output, I believe we can add 8 wins due to an improved bullpen. Add another 4 due to Dusty's influence.
However, I think we'll lose an additional 2 wins due to poorer defense overall.
Therefore I'll go with a record of 82 and 80.......or 2 over 500 ball. My assumption of neutral offensive output could turn out very bad.

The Cubs made a big improvement last year aftre a busy offseason. Maybe the Reds can do the same this year.

I definitely feel that Dusty is worth an additional 4 wins. I don't think he is any master-strategist during a game - just capable of holding guys more accountable than probably 90% of current managers. That should mean a lot over 162 games.
Our bullpen was simply atrocious last year. We had something like 12 blown saves in the months of May and June. This was before Burton got comfortable and Bray got healthy.
Adding Cordero to Weathers along with a more experienced Burton and healthy Bray should be worth some wins. 8 may be stretching it.........but its March and I'm optimistic. Stanton couldn't be any worse than last year could he?

Have to go with the over.
Dusty >>> Mackanin >>>>> Narron
Weathers, Burton, and Cordero to close the door this year, as well as a quality lefty in the pen in Affeldt. If we can get one of Coutlangus or Bray to be a solid contributor then the pen shoudl stay strong, and Beliele will be the long relief/spot start guy, where he is better suited.

A very weak divison with the Cubs as favorites is ripe for the taking. I predict Zambrano breaks down and Reds win this Division but with only 87 wins
