Lincoln isn't that bad. He should have stuck out Fielder looking. Which he did. Way to go Bako ;D He's no Johnny Cueto.... There's only one Cueto. I'll say this about Lincoln and it might not be saying much but Lincoln is better then Coffey. And could be better then Weathers before years end. Lincoln has a good Curve to go with his Fastball that sits around 92-94mph that has some movement on it. What don't you like about Lincoln? He's got ok #'s so far this season.

Tough call on Freel. Freel had been 2-5 against Mota and 0-2 against Shouse. Seemed like a wasted move with Patterson and the balanced Keppinger coming up but we shall see.

That called strike three on Freel in the 8th was garbage. Marty was giving the ump hell on the call that Bako got thrown out on. This guy should not be behind the dish.

Started listening to game right before Votto's HR. Has the ump been as horrible the whole game as Marty is saying? Is anyone watching on TV?

Tough loss. The only thing I have is I would have hit or walked Bill Hall with 2 on and the game on the line. You know this guy kills you and yet you pitch to him. The thing about that AB vs Weathers other then the fact that Weathers doesn't have sh!t, is that Weathers stayed on the outside part of the plate that entire AB. I thought Weathers should have challenged Hall on the inside part of the plate at some point of that AB. I guess that's hard to do when you don't have the stuff to challenge hitters inside. I will be so glad when all the old guys are removed from this club and we go with our young guys. Fogg, Weathers, Castro and Hatte should be moved asap. I know we keep saying it but we have got to make some changes. This is a replica of last season. We wait to make changes, then dig ourselves a hole that's to big to get out of when we start playing good ball. Hey it's early and we're 4 games under but we're not playing good ball right now and it doesn't look good as long as we keep running with the older guys. As good as Cueto and Volquez have pitched Arroyo and Fogg have pitched equally bad. That a problem. Other then Weathers and Coffey I've been impressed with the bullpen. So that's a plus. The lead off spot is still suspect. CPatt should be replaced by Hopp. Hopp has earned a chance to prove that he can be our lead off hitter. I like BP and Jr. switching places in the batting order. Although we didn't benefit from the move today, I think it will work out for us in the long run. We're in a funk to say the least, so I'm looking forward to seeing some changes that can hopefully help get use back on track.

The Edwin Experiment is begin to wear thin for me. At this point, I think it's clear that IF A-Gon ever gets back, then Edwin goes to the bench and Kepp plays the hot corner. I'll try to ask this one more time because Lark usually answers questions. When did Kepp play 3B and do we know for sure that he can play there (or is he no better than Freel or EE defensively)?

The offense is becoming more and more of an issue the more we continue to go 7 or 8 innings into a game with just 2 hits and fewer runs. Not to sound like Star <g>, but I am the one who kept mentioning offense during spring training when the only people who were hitting were the bench players and AAA designees and Cory Patterson (whose track record as a mediocre hitter was hard to ignore). I thought then that Dusty wasn't playing the regulars enough for them to get sharp. I hope that was the case and that they will continue to get their timing back and start hitting (as Griffey and Votto and even EE lately have started to do). However, I am worried about several of them. Pitching is much improved, but we still don't have a top five rotation. If you don't have that, and you play in GABP, you better have an offense.

Kepp has played 182.0 innings at 3b in his MLB career. And, he played 53 games at third in the minors. For his MLB career, he's got a .957 fielding% compared to Edwin's .935. That doesn't even take into account Edwin's atrocious range at third, which is his real problem. I think it's a fairly safe assumption that if you can handle short and 2b, then you can probably do a capable job at third. And, to be honest, Edwin sets the bar so low that just about anyone would be an improvement at third. So, I'd say it's almost a certainty that Kepp would be an upgrade over Edwin at third. He may not be a gold glover at the hot corner, but just about everyone is better than Edwin.

Edwin does this thing where he makes us despise him...and then in the same game makes us remember why we allow him to stay on the team.
Atrocious throw for an out at home? 3-run walkoff.
2 errors to allow runs on easy out balls? How bout a HR for each.

One error, but also a very poorly handled hit that should have resulted in an out.
