How did it come about him making 3mil? Did we have to work out a contract with him since he would be in the majors? If so that is stupid, He should of had to take the league minimum or 500k-800k something like that. Evidently, if he made the roster his salary got bumped up to $3M. Whether you like the C-Pat move or not, it seems like we could have obtained his services for a lot less, considering no one else even wanted him.

That if he made the team out of ST his contract would be worth 3 mill.

Yeah at first I didnt mind C-Patt but we are just too lefty.
With that said I dont think Bruce is the anserw either because he is a lefty.
Hopper is the guy that should have to start.
Belisle starts monday

At least it's for just 1 year. Now if it was a 3 year deal (Stanton-Freel) I would be concerned.

Mike Lincoln or Todd Coffey gone??? (AAA)
I say both and let Belisle and Bray come up
DFA Castro and bring up Hairston
sooner or later
deal Hatteberg and sign Piazza ( Righty to platoon with Votto )

Lincoln will be the first gone IMO.
Coffee hasn't pitched too awfully in the past two games...

Why assume that he can't hit lefties? Let's give him the chance, as I think he did it rather well in the minors.

Edwin takes his time and fires a strike to BP. Nice.
I still hate that sidearm stuff, though.

I have no problem with Fogg going to the pen if he is going to be use as a strict long man.
My idea bullpen right now is
Josh Fogg - Long Man
Bill Bray Kent Mercker Jermey Affeldt
David Weathers Jared Burton
Fransisco Cordero

I should have been more specific Not a strict platoon just when Votto needs a day off make sure it is against a lefty and let Piazza take it Piazza would have to become the main pitch hitter against lefties and Javy vs Righties

3.1 innings with 4 Ks and 0 BBs. Does a HBP count as a BB for the over/under?

No, a walk is a walk is a walk. It takes four bad pitches to create a walk, only one for a hit batter.
