I'd like to see Hopper in there again, CPatt is on the decline in a hurry and the reds could sure use a real leadoff hitter.

CP can still be a valuable defensive replacement and pinch hitter/runner, but I just don't like his avg/obp in the everyday lineup, and Hopper has proven time and again he deserves a shot to start every day.
In 22 at bats, Hopper has yet to strike out this year.

After a day off I look for BP to have a good series against the Brew Crew and get back on track. .358 5 HR 24RBI and 102B lifetime vs the Brewers. I look for those career #'s to get even better after this series. BP could use this series to jump start his season after cooling off a bit.

I think it was a good call on Dusty's part to give Phillips that day off as he has clearly been pressing trying to get something started the last week or so. He does his best (as most do) when they let things come to them and take advantage of what they can and don't try ot force anything.

Yeah, being in a slump and then facing a pitcher that your stats are pretty putrid against really doesn't do much for the psyche. BP will bounce back nicely in this series.

I'm gonna be at this game, and thus far we haven't lost while I was there this year...let's hope the streak continues.
Of course, I'm gonna be there on Saturday and Sunday too...

That should be the everyday lineup right there. Every. Single. Day.

I like the lineup today. I agree that Hopp definitely deserves some PT in a big way.
Looking at the starters' pasts versus Sheets, you can really see exactly how much time Griffey has missed....Dunn has 2x the official ABs vs. Sheets compared to Griffey....

I would agree with seeing how this lineup works through a whole series against a good team. Though I like him more than most, having Patterson on the bench would immediately improve what seems to be a weakness. I don't know if this is the case statistically--I'm too lazy to check, as usual--but it seems like our bench play has been pretty weak...
I didn't get to watch the game yesterday--my cable deal somehow didn't include it--but hope to see at least a couple of wins this weekend; seems like I've only been able to catch the really frustrating losses during this last week...
