No clue how all of that gets interpreted by MLB history, but it's pretty interesting now that I'm reading about it.

I'm not sure, but as far as I know the Reds are considered to have always been located in Cincy. I don't think a contingent of players jumping to a new team and bringing a similar nickname with them would change that. However, MLB history has its oddities, so who knows. Interestingly enough, the Nationals have been given the choice as to which franchise history they wish to adopt. They can either continue on with the Expo history or pickup the history of the Washington Senators. I'm not sure which way they went, but it's interesting that they were given the choice.

You're welcome for the info. Just something that I picked up from someone that's been around a lot longer than me and has a lot of Reds knowledge.
Lets play ball! We need to get to Zambrano early and start hitting on all strides.

From my Reds viewing, I want the cavs to lose in the first round and I would be happy. (Sorry if any one like them and want them to win. I want to see my reds. From 04 - the last month of the season last year I did not miss a game. Now I can't see them basicly at all) But hay, I can tell you how the Red Socks and Yanks game is going, and on that note Manny almost got himself tossed.

That is interesting about the Nationals. I'll have to try and find out which route they chose.

Well, I suppose it's not all that surprising. Neither Patterson nor Keppinger is a late count hitter. They are aggressive, early count guys, which can make for quick innings.
I agree with schellis, Reggie Willits would be perfect for this team. If memory serves, he saw the most pitches per plate appearance of any regular in baseball last year.

do you think that this can be connected to dustys agrresive desired approach to hitting seen through comments on dunn and votto about not taking hittable pitches or just part of the slump ??

I think some of it has to be related to Dusty's approach. Some hitters just don't have a patient approach at the player either like Lark alluded to.
