I am back.  I want to see Freel get a chance to play 5 out of 7 days. He was hurt twice, one to hopper and the other, well I have my own thoughts about that go back to the 05's surgery but I digress. Before the concussion he was doing cereer numbers. Don't believe me look. the only year that was a big difference was 05 in batting avarage. His bat comes arround compleatly in June. ANd his last 20 games last year acorrding to a florida paper printed in october said he was batting over .400 in that time spand. When he is in there they are a diffrent team, like it or not. there is a reason that hafe way though 06 the reds were 10 over when he started and 5 under when he did not. You can say he has strugled sence the end of 06 but everyone died in 06. You relise that the batting avarage for the sterting 8 for the augest though when he went on the dl Freel had the 2nd highest avage with .217. The only higher was EE at .233 everyone else was under 200 in you take Hatty as the starter and not Areala. (sorry on spelling) (all from FSN back in 06. I still have some fotage) by the way Freel is now batting higher than C-pat. lol Good to see ya, I thought you abandoned ship on us when the going got tough. Nice to see that you are a glutton for punishment just like the rest of us.  As for Freel, I tend to agree that a change needs to be made. Personally, I lean towards Hopper, as I like Freel in short bursts off the bench, but with C-Pat down to .220 on the season, I'd say that it's safe to say that he's regressing to the mean. I see no harm in giving Freel and/or Hopper a legitimate shot at starting. Personally, I still can't believe we are paying C-Pat $3M for 2008 when no one else even wanted him. Terrible decision. |

Adam Dunn cranks one. Somewhere the Adam Dunn bashers are chalking it up as a token shot that does nothing but pad his stats.

Fantasy baseball question really fast...
Any word on Bedard's injury? Obviously, the Mariners are being ultra quiet about it, but I read earlier it could be pretty serious and require him missing a lot of the season.
With that said, someone is trying to deal Bedard to me at a buy-low price.

you and the Reds can'y get rid of me that easy. ;D
Personaly I play freel in CF 4-5 Days pending pitching and him.
Play Hopper the other days and once a week or so for Jr and Dunn per pitcher.
Freel leading off. What he does to pitchers when he is on can't be disregarded. He normaly gets on well and steels at a great clip.
Going into last year his sb% was arouind 80% if I remember corectly.
and How is he sappost(sorry again spelling) to hit when going from batting almost every day to 3 days between abs.

i agree completely with miss. i personally want freel to get a fair shot in center full time. that being said im a big freel fan and biased lol ((see avatar))

I'd be just fine with a Freel/Hopper split in center. Though, I'd favor Hopper getting more time. Of course, Dusty's man crush on Patterson will get in the way of that plan. |

His history is such that he pitches a lot of innings for a guy who gets hurt every year. I don't know much about his current injury other than that it's hip related, but I'd buy low if you need pitching help. |

Why is Cordero pitching the 8th inning? Why is Cordero in this game at all? He needs work, we can't score runs so we can't have a lead in the 9th, meaning no save situations, meaning no Cordero. Nice that we pay all that money for a guy we can't use in his situation... |
