Jake Peavy leads off that discussion for me, Santana and Hamels with the change, Bedard's curve, and for some reason, I've watched Jeremy Bonderman about 5 times on TV, and he's been absolute nails in all 5 games. Based on what I've seen, I have no idea how he's not one of the best pitchers in baseball.
I live near Washington, so I'm a Nats' fan in addition to a Reds' fan. I saw John Patterson back when he was healthy, and he's always been one of my favorites. Sad to see him go. Ryan Zimmerman is an absolutely phenomenal player. His numbers will look much better outside of RFK. Also, to make Lark happy, he's the best defensive 3B in baseball, and I am absolutely confident in saying that. His fielding pct. sucks because he makes hurried and off-balance throws trying to make plays where any other 3B eats the ball. He's an absolute joy to watch.
I don't concede the best defensive 3rd baseman crown to Zimmerman just yet.
