Alright, let's not talk about tanking the season 2 games under .500 with 150-some games to play.... could not agree more...

It may take a nice package of prospects to get Weathers cause after last year he may be a type A free agent and net two draft picks. Not ready to jump ship yet--its two weeks into the season, but if the same results are still occurring in another month then I will believe this season is over. Teams lose four in a row at times in a 162 game season. ive always thought teams generally slump twice a season. maybe were getting our first one out of the way early in time to gear up for the division title run lol. lot of baseball left to be played

Look at the Tigers. Their start was about as bad as it gets, but they're coming around, and nobody honestly believes their team is as bad as their record. In the end it will even out, and they could very well win their division or the Card. So. Lighten up.

For me at least the bad play at the ML level is easier to deal with cause I like the way the farm system is producing talent now. A few years back the Reds would suck, and have a bottom tier minor league system, and it seemed the cycle would never end.

Yeah, not really sure how we escaped that cycle, actually...kudos to Wayne, I guess...

exactly! there is now hope .... and more importantly depth. this losing streak is just a slump and will continue to only be a slump because if a guy is not producing there is a guy right under neath him ready to take his spot and earn his playing time. Bray, Phillips, Bailey, bruce and Cabrera are just a few that come to mind who i feel can positively contribute this season

It's gonna require that we are WILLING to replace the guys if necessary though, even if that guy (Griffey comes to mind) is still filling the seats.

at this point griffey is the last of our worries for this season in my opinion. dunn and ee are the main reason for the lack of offense and i think ee is on a short leash anyways. with 5 OFs already up wit hthe big club its easy to give dunn time off

IMO, winning fills the seats better than a guy hitting HRs. Use him to sell some tickets when he's around 600...then soon after, peace! And this is coming from a HUGE Griffey fan. We just haven't been good for each other...

As much as I love Griffey, and as good as he is for the CITY, if not the team, I have to agree, a winning club would fill the seats. Hopefully management comes to that painful realization as well.
