Given that he's one of the best players of all time and already hit a homer in the game, yeah, I expected more from him.

ive always been a huge coffee fan and stood by his side but it just looks inevitable that he wont be with the big club for long .... possibly even the organization. perhaps a change of scenery is what he needs anyways. hes a tremendously hard worker and has great stuff but just cant put the pieces together. too bad really

atta boy votto. the most frustrating part of this whole thing is that while the reds may be a year away from being a legitimate contender in the division, they can still play much better than this. the signs are there we can just never have all the parts working at the same time. when the sp is great the bats are cold when the bullpen steps it up the starters cant find the strike zone and when the bats are alive well we look forward to 10-9 wins or losses. i hope dusty is the man to get these guys all working in sync and playing good team ball however i have had my doubts since the beginning. ill give him a fair chance just after the fast start these last 4 games have been really frustrating

This team is brutal they may not win 60 games i wouldnt go that far but dusty definately needs to get the guys heading in the same direction. we'll be competitive this year, we wont contend until next year

next year, all i see is the
same bad defense
the same bad fundamentals
one less power bat
a year older for a few players
no major FA acquisitions
contention? I pray. however, i wont hold out hope

you forget that if we do tank this year we have good pieces to trade that will bring back a solid return with our core together next year. the bullpen will be fine with another year of maturity we still have a closer. in losing arroyo we can still put out harang cueto volquez bailey and belisle and our offense will feature more of votto and bruce. the only thing i think will be legitimate is oncen again defense. however if EE continures to falter dont forget the agon is a good feilder and kepp can play third with phillips holding down first. a platoon of votto and andy phillips (who has amazing d for a first baseman, how he lived in NY for so long) would be great. we need a defensive catcher who can hit and a lead off guy to put between bruce and dunn (( assuming we keep him and lose griff)). say the wheels fall off, we can unload griffey, arroyo, hatteberg, weathers if need be and possibly even fogg at the deadline. none of those guys figure into our core future players

It may take a nice package of prospects to get Weathers cause after last year he may be a type A free agent and net two draft picks.
Not ready to jump ship yet--its two weeks into the season, but if the same results are still occurring in another month then I will believe this season is over. Teams lose four in a row at times in a 162 game season.

Alright, let's not talk about tanking the season 2 games under .500 with 150-some games to play....
