Off topic is just fine. I don't real want to do much moderating, rather just enough to keep an open, positive environment for discussion. Differing opinions, off-topic discussion, and objective criticism are welcome. Just about any discussion is fair game on this board, so bring it on!!!

swweeeT! Im loving the new boards so far and im hoping everyone keeps with them...i think they are having a decent start and will really start rolling once the regular season starts..... Agreed, I'm pretty amazed by how well it's started off. The pessimistic side of me thought it would be me and star discussing the Reds, which is fun, but might get old. No offense, star!!! I was surprised to see that Star and I caught some heat on the ESPN board for starting a new forum. However, I didn't start it because I wanted to stomp out free speech, dissenting opinions, or opinions critical of the Reds. Quite the contrary, I welcome different points of view and have no problem at all with criticism of the Reds. I just missed the respect that used to rule that board and thought there was a chance we could bring that back on this board. In a perfect world this board will be completely seamless and won't need any moderating at all. The more hands-off I can be the better.

Yeah I don't mind negative opinions because I am a highly optimistic person every spring with the Reds and need to have my high hopes checked every once in a while. However, on the ESPN board you can almost guarantee two or three people to just dominate a post with dumb posts and constant bickering. That is why I rarely checked that board and hardly ever posted.
That and I hated the long load times and the layout of the board. I really like this one and I can't wait to get some more people on here. I would definitely enforce registration once it gets bigger but this should be an awesome year.
Love the YouTube clip btw. That was hilarious!

I found that more annoyig then funny. If I ever met that guy I might just have to punch him in the face for wasting a minute of my life.
