Edwin Encarnacion is an enigma to me. At times last year he looked great. Other times he looks like he's not so great and even uninterested in playing baseball at all. There's been alot of talk of maybe sending him down to get him started or benching him in favor of Freel. I honestly don't know what would be the best for the hiim, but I do know that Dusty can't afford to have him consistently not deliver in key situations and making error after error at 3B.
I really think in this case, that a trade mght do both parties well. We won't get much in return for EE, but I think he needs a new start somewhere else. I mean, it' s not like we have a 3B ready to step up, but we have some guys that can fill in and it gets easier if Gonzo can come back and be 100%. I really feel bad for Edwin. I think he's a bit of a head-case and I'm sure it keeps him up at night. I just don't think sending him down (AGAIN) is going to be the right move for him personally at this stage of the game.
