Just saw another photo of Jonathan Papelbon's wild gesticulations, which I find to be rather annoying. That brought to mind the question of who is the most annoying player in baseball.
I don't think he's around, but Jose Lima and his antics would get my vote. On occasion, I find Sean Casey's time at the plate to be a bit grating.
What player gets under your skin or on your last nerve?

Edwin Encarnacion!!!!!
the guy just flat-out sucks!!
he DOES NOT belong on a big-league roster, let alone the REDS!
cut him, fire him, trade him, or just see to it that he has an unfortunate accident, just get rid of the no-good lazy POS!!!!!

Annoyance occurs on many levels...
I find noted Reds killers to be very annoying - guys like Bill Hall or Roy Oswalt.
Big egos are also certainly annoying - Barry Bonds being the leading vote getter here, but there are many others. I remember even once hearing Jason Larue talking about himself in the 3rd person ("everyone knows Jason Larue starts out slow").
As far as playing style goes, guys who consistently make mental mistakes annoy me. I like Freel, but sometimes he really annoys me, especially with baserunning mistakes.

An EASY one for me. I absolutely can't stand Ronnie Belliard. The guy thinks he is a mini-Manny Ramirez. Manny must have been his idol growing up.
It's fine with me if someone wants to mimmick another player but to see this chump show all the mannerisms of a star player and then produce nothing like one, just drives me insane.
My favorite was Mike Fetters and how he used to look down on the mound and then all the sudden flip his head up towards the plate and try to look intimidating. I don't know if he was trying to psyche out batters or trying to get them to crack up laughing.

Well, outside of the obvious guys (Arod and Jeter), I guess I would have to say Todd Coffey. Not only is there the jogging thing, and I'm not exactly sure why he's still on the team, and even more baffled about why Billy Beane has seemed to want him on his team so badly in the past.

I must admit, Manny himself drives me crazy, but I haven't seen enough of Ronnie to be bothered by him.

Anyone on the Cubs is annoying! I cant stand that team! lol
There after getting that off my chest I would have to say Jim Edmonds! I get sick and tired of that guy. I hate how he makes every catch more difficult than it has to be, and everytime he makes the catch he lays there and acts like he can barely walk. GET OFF THE FIELD BUM!
