Has just been lights out.
4 G 4 IP 1-0 2 saves 0.00 ERA 3 K 0 BB 1 hit 0.25 WHIP
That one hit was in the first game even, and his last 3 outings have been 1-2-3 9ths. If he can keep this up a 45-50 save season is not out of the question. A 4 year deal was the perfect length too as he will be 36 in his last year here and most closers have kept their stuff until about that point before they started to fall off.

Cordero was a great move and a great deal. Like you say 4 years is about right considering his age. Cordero throws gas and has a nasty slider. He's the real deal. Cordero signing has improved this bullpen 100 times over. We haven't had a real closer since Graves had 41 and that was one season. The 4 year deal is a great time frame to get some guys ready in AAA who has a shot to take over after Cordero in gone. Roenicke is a name that comes to mind. The 4 years also gives us a chance to set a lineup and rotation in the coming years. It's so important to have a guy you can count on in the 9th with young pitching and a lineup or rotation that can change before years end. Cueto, Voluqez, and Bailey aren't just regular young pitchers their beast (Bailey?) but Bailey will be tough I think before it's over. Having a legit closer will help these guys pitch with more confidence IMP. Not only does Cordero make our pen better but he helps the rotation as well is that aspect. This team is so much better with him then what they would have been without him.

Indisputably, although Weathers is off to a rocky start. That's what he likes to do, I think, load the bases, give us all minor heart attacks, and then get a miraculous final out.

The improvements are just great.
The ripple effect of addin Cordero has worked out well ( except Weathers so far )
