One thing I really like about the Reds farm system right now is that Fogg and Belisle being on 1 year deals, they have the pitching depth where they will not have to resign Fogg if he gets expensive at all, or even Belisle if they don't want to pay his 2nd year of arbitration. Bailey and Thompson are both likely to be ready in 2009, albeit I could see Thompson starting off in AAA to push his arbitration eligability back and go with Belisle to start next year as the 5th starter. They even have the depth to where they can trade Arroyo for prospects and still have a strong staff.
2009 Rotation: Harang Cueto Volquez Bailey Belisle (Thompson come June or so, move Belisle to long relief/spot starter)

Quite right. In fact, we're set through 2010 with the current deals for Arroyo & Harang.
We'll need the extra money to beef up the offense with Junior and Dunn possibly leaving this year.

Not to much though because by 2010 we'll have some very promising bats making the show. Most notably Bruce, Frazier, Stubbs, and Francisco which will fill the RF, LF , CF, and 3B spots. Not to mention guys like Valaika, Dorn, Rosales, Griffen, Tatum, Turner, Heisey, and Waring that might get us another 1-2 starters. 2010 Lineup if we get 0 free agents: 1. Stubbs, CF, R (High A) 2. Keppinger, SS, R, (Majors) 3. Bruce, RF, L, (AAA) 4. Phillips, 2B, R (Majors) 5. Votto, 1B, L (Majors) 6. Frazier, 3B, R (Low A) 7. Francisco, LF, S (High A) 8. Tatum, C, R (AA)

The future is bright with the guys you have mentioned Duke. I would like to see a LHP make this rotation in 2010.
