Took Cueto out after 7 innings even though he only threw 89 pitches and now he doe the same thing with Volquez after 5.1 innings
Maybe he has learned from his mistakes.......LARK

Obviously...perhaps a bit too careful with Volquez there. Still, better safe than sorry. In order to do this though, our pen is going to have to prove they can handle the job. Burton's first big test here.

He had two guys on base and a three run lead. It'll be interesting to see how he handles Cueto and Volquez over the season, but I doubt he'd be able to get away with it now.

Lark is nothing like Kramer but I understand his dislike for Dusty as he has mentioned it alot. Unlike Kramer lark does not hate for no reason. I dont agree with it but he hasa reason.
I thin he changes his mind though

it's best at the beginning of the season to keep tabs on the amount of work the pitchers get...I am fine with the move to relieve these guys earlier especially since we actually have a solid bullpen now

lol You need to get your crystal ball fixed!! Hey Kramer....I mean Lark you'll come around on Dusty....you might even lust over dust by years end Actually, if memory serves, Kramer is a big fan of the Dusty hire! I'm very familiar with Dusty's pre-Reds work and it's not a stretch to say he's my least favorite manager. He's got a lot of work to do to get into my good graces. So far, so good, but for me the presence of Corey Patterson is not a plus in the Dusty column.

Unlike Kramer though, I'm sure Lark would much rather be wrong in this case than being more satisfied with being right like Kramer would.

I was pretty vanilla at the hiring when it happened saying i'd take a wait and see approach and judge the man on what he does. Through 6 games he has been great from what I have seen, but it is a long season.

I can envision an ecstatic Dusty Baker leading the Reds off the field following a World Series vistory a lot better than Jerry Narron, that's for sure....
