Interesting stuff. He's really righted the ship as of late...or his performance level just experienced positive regression when his batted ball luck returned to normal, either way it's interesting to see him get the call.
The Reds obviously have a need, but it'll also be good to get a look at him to see what we have for 2025 and beyond.

The call is soon, but makes sense under the circumstances. Let's see how he does. It's just a snapshot. Good experience for him b/c we expect him back.

So outstanding start to his career 6 games in.
How do you see Lowder going forward in 25 and beyond?
What do you think his floor and ceiling is?
I don't see ACE stuff. I see a very solid number 2 type starter as a ceiling.
I think the floor is high though.

Lowder impressed. I wonder if we'll be able to keep him healthy. We have more injuries to pitchers than any team I've ever seen.

He's been healthy so far and his mechanics are fairly clean, that's about the best you can ask for. 99 IP in 2022 as a college So 120 IP in 2023 as a college Jr 139 IP in his first professional season, 108.2 in the minors, 30.2 in the majors Fun fact, in Lowder's 6 big league starts, he racked up 1.9 WAR, which was good for 6th on the Reds overall in 2024 after Greene, Elly, Martinez, Abbott, and TSteph.
