What a disappointing series against the Mets, who tripled their 2024 wik total in a single series against the Reds? What in the heck happened to the team that we thought was going to be on the field this year? I don't even know half of these guys.

When we lost to the Nats, they hadn't won a game all year. Then the Phillies go and double their season win total against us. Now the Mets triple their win total. The Mets are expected to only finish with a .500 record. They aren't a team capable of winning 2 out of 3.

Guess this board is inactive. It is really hard to believe that with all of the amazing analysis and discussions that you generate on this board.

I mean, we're 6-4, it's not like we started 1-9. Would it have been nice to win that Mets series? Sure, but it's a loooooooong season. If you can pretty much play .500 ball and have 2-3 decent winning streaks on top of it without any big losing streaks, you're a playoff team and a decent shot at division winner.

It will be exciting.

Every year we see teams position themselves for that final month playoff run. That always comes down to pitching. Think this team is built for that. This year should be no different except that I think Reds will have the arms to make that final push. Unlike last year when our starting pitching was horrid.

Wasted a nice pitching effort from Greene last night. Fine effort? 6 earned runs in 6 innings.

This pitching staff is going to come together and the hitting will soon pick up. It sounds like you're ready to toss in the towel on this years Reds. Give this team time because the pieces are all there.

Wasted a nice pitching effort from Greene last night. Fine effort? 6 earned runs in 6 innings. Posted that after his previous performance, not the one against Milwaukee. Face it, Milwaukee just has our number. They're a tough team. 6 starters hitting .300 or better. We have 2. Our 1B, 2B, and 3B are all batting below the weight of most middle school children. 2 of those are in the 3 and 4 holes!

Steer and EDLC should be hitting 2-3 at this point.

I want to see Elly high in the order because of his ability to steal and score runs, but the dude can't hit a damn breaking ball. If he can learn to go with the pitch and hit it to the field based on where the pitch is, he could be up there. I just don't trust him with that many more at bats in a year. We need Friedl back soon.
What I do know, Friedl needs to be leading off and Steer needs to bat 3rd every single game.
