Has anyone been paying attention to Blake Dunn? He is now in the reds top 30. 24 year old at AA Chattanooga. Kid seems to be able to flat out hit. Now over.390 average. Might be interesting trade bait or possibly even an outfield candidate for us next year. Remains to be seen but another name to keep an eye on.

He is actually hitting over .380 not .390. However I didn’t mention he also has 16 or so home runs over 40 stolen bases and hit .446 in July.
He just broke into Reds top 30. If he was in the Yankees system he would be a top 30 prospect in all of baseball and his First Bowman would be selling for 10 grand on EBay lol.

No reason whatsoever Blake Dunn shouldn’t be called up for September roster expansion. 13 game hitting streak. Hitting.500 over that time. .324 21 home Runs 48 stolen bases. With the offense floundering he should get a shot, if not everyday 4 games a week or until he shows he isn’t ready.
24 years old, drafted out of college in 2021, 15th rounder. I’d play him in one of the 2 games Friday, it’s Fecal Matter or get off the pot time. Let’s go.

Why hasn't he already been called up? I wonder if his MiLB hitting stacks up with MLB hitting. I know he hasn't even made it to AAA yet, but I wonder if he's the dreaded AAAA player. I hope not, as .380-ish is great regardless where they're playing.

I hope not, as .380-ish is great regardless where they're playing. After the waivers claims on Renfroe and Bader the 2023 window on Dunn shut. He is a right handed hitter so I doubt he would get any at bats unless it was late and the game was out of hand. He is a player I will be watching next spring. I’m sure he will get a look in the spring unless he is traded this offseason. If I were a GM he is the type of player I’d be on the phone about. Right hand hitter that hits for average and lots of speed. Of course I’m just reading box scores and stat sheets, but if my scouts tell me he can play the outfield at at least mlb average, I’d be on the phone for sure. a Also he is from Michigan and a lot of kids that are from the North are late bloomers due to not being able to play year round.

Sounds like a guy they make room for eventually, if not in September.
