We are well on our way !! I just pulled two more posters out of the hell I called ESPN. I said I would have 100 by June 1st now I think it could happen by May 1st !

I said I would have 100 by June 1st now I think it could happen by May 1st ! congrats..this is a great thing that was started here I'm trying to figur out how everything exactly works,but I'll get it down..and you should have 100 on here by May 1st, but I don't think quantity is necessarily a good thing...i.e. ESPN..quality is better than quantity my friend. |

Been waiting for a board like this for a long time, where half the posts aren't based on delusional politics or worse. I would think 100 members is easier than it sounds. Here's hoping.

Of course the 100 number means nothing if the posters stink but we already have a solid base. It would just be nice to have some high traffic in here is all.

Just wanted to echo the same thoughts on the ESPN boards as that is the same reason I am here.
To be honest, the only reason I even continued going to that board was to see Starpower25's minor league reports. My handle their was 'chipper34deion'. Don't know if you remember me as I didn't post often as I felt it wasn't worth it just to get bashed by some if I didn't have the same opinion as some. Maybe I'll post more often here if the atmosphere is conducive to such a thing lol>
I love to hear about the minor leagues as I had been tracking Cueto for quite some time now and your reports helped me to dial into his progress.
Keep those reports coming brother!!

Something to consider though is that with so many members the quality of posters could potentially go down...something to watch out for.
Says the newbie.
But hey, I was a vet on ESPN, and saw how that got out of hand.

The question is, once we reach 100, what next? Do you try to grow the board even more while actively recruiting, let it sit static and just let it grow more slowly via word of mouth? How big do you guys want the site to get?
Also you could try to recruit other very good posters from other teams as Staff Members for thier team and try to grow it into a full MLB site. That said, i like just the Reds boards, just wondering what the master plan for world domination is.

I have to reveal that I don't really like baseball that much as a game. I don't ever watch a game other than the World Series or NL playoffs unless the Reds are involved. Once I get to 100 I am going to quit recruiting. As for the ideaDuke just mentioned that would be up to lark. I could see it as a good solid idea but its up to lark,.

I would rather it grew by word of mouth, a lot like what we're doing now. I enjoy knowing the people who are posting and would rather keep it personal.
