EE/Kepp/A-Gon

The good issue to have is going to have to be decided soon. EE still has shown that potential that we saw last night. He can't field, but no one here is going to argue that he's one of our best RISP hitters. Then you have the hitting machine Keppinger who has gotten on base at a great rate since last year. Finally, we have Gonzalez who is an excellent fielder (but showed some signs of asging last year with a few errors), and had a good power year for his past history. So how should we handle this?

LOL this is only my opinion but its simple, trade either Agon or EE and keep Keppinger! Kepp should be able to play SS or 3rd with no problems. He is the guy that needs to stay in the lineup no matter what.

I think you have to keep Kepp because he has top of the order skills. Neither A-Gon nor EE have them.

I would probably try to move EE, I suppose. Kepp at 3B and A-Gon at SS is more solid defensively. And long term, EE may need to change positions to 1B or the outfield.

It's a shame that due to poor managing in previous years, we still may not know what EE is really capable of - we should know what kind of player he is at this point, but question marks still remain.

That being said, I think it's entirely possible that both EE and A-Gon could be moved. I think we might see both Dunn and Griffey returning next year, and Bruce is going to soon be ready for the big leagues. I think Dunn and Griffey will have big years this season, and Castellini will want to bring them back. I'm not saying this is the correct decision, but it's what I'm predicting.

With the outfield filled with power hitters, this means that the top of the order guys will need to come from the 3B and SS positions. Kepp will be one of these, but the Reds will need to find another solid on-base guy to fill out the left side of the infield.

That is, unless you bat Kepp leadoff and Votto 2nd, keeping A-Gon at SS?
