Man, that game was impressive, only 1 hit, 10 K's, 1.29 ERA, he's going to be a frontrunner.
15 wins are not out of the question.

lets not get ahead of ourselves here. i mean...remember...when shearn(sp) came up about the first 6-8 games he pitched he did well. never as good as 10 k's and 1 run in an outing..but then people started figuring him out. i love the way he looked...but...lets give it some time before we start to give him ROY awards. although i do hope he wins it.

Well true we are a little hyped right now, but comparing shern to Cueto is nuts. Its not even close, that is like comparing Santana to Eric Milton. Shern had slow stuff and ok command, Cueto has electric stuff and Excellent command, and he is years younger then shern, so sorry that is a bad comparison.

Cueto really showed great stuff today..Was excited for his first game and I didn't even expect him to do THIS well. Very very good first outing. Let's hope we see more of it from this kid. If we do, this is going to be one helluva year.

I read in CTR's blog that not only did Cueto not give up a walk, there was never even a batter who had 3 balls. That is simply amazing.

I was really impressed with his pitching yesterday. Hopefully he can keep that stuff going good, and if he can get 15 wins, I think he is an automatic for ROY.

Yeah, I'm a day late, but I don't care.
Wow. Absolutely phenomenal.
The kid has everything you want to see out of a young pitcher; he's economical with his pitches, he's not afraid to challenge hitters, and he's just got brutally nasty stuff. I was blown away by that performance.
I can't take credit for this, but a poster on Red Reporter suggested a great nickname for him. El Humo (The Smoke).
