One way that the 2014 season was unusual was that only one player hit his 200th career home run during the season. Who was it?

I know the answer, since I was watching the game when it happened.
But trivia questions aren't fun when someone gets the answer right away, so I'll let everyone eles have fun with it.
If no one gets it at first, I can come up with some clever clues if need be...Alright, I can't help myself and I'll drop a clue:
The player in question shares a last name with a lead singer of an influential 1980's punk rock band.

Well, taking that to mean that he played for the Reds at some point, I'll go with Edwin Elpidio Encarnacion. I really don't know who else it could be.

I'll go with Edwin Elpidio Encarnacion. How does Encarnacion relate to the punk music clue? He's the Rocket Man, glam pop...

I don't know much about punk rock, so I don't understand the reference, but Edwin Encarnacion is the correct answer. Due to fewer PEDs, better pitching, and shorter careers, it seems that at the beginning of the season, there will be fewer than 30 players on active rosters with 200 career home runs. Baseball-reference lists 31, but that includes some players who are listed elsewhere as retired, as well as Jason Giambi, A-rod, and Dan Uggla. There are 15 active players who are within 20 of 200, including Jay Bruce.

You may want to check your research. Jimmy Rollins hit his 200th HR March 31, 2014. That's who I was assuming you were looking for.
The punk clue was a reference to Henry Rollins, lead singer of Black Flag.
The Votto's teammate clue kind of threw me off, but I just assumed they were NL all-stars together one year...
