I'm the only player in MLB history to hit 3 home runs in a game where I wasn't in the starting lineup. I entered that game in the 8th inning while playing for the Reds. I also appeared as myself in an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. Who am I?

George Foster. Just guessing that it would be someone that was more then a bench player.

Not George Foster, but a very good guess. I was never a teammate of George Foster as I was traded away several years before George arrived in Cincinnati. I won a World Series ring with another NL team and remain quite a folk hero with that team.

Bench hit three in a game more than once but obviously doesn't fit the other hints...

Based on the Everybody Loves Raymond clue, is this Art Shamsky?
