All four of us attended the same Oakland high school. Three of us signed originally with the Reds. All four of us played for the Reds. Three of us played for the Reds in World Series games. All four of us played in the World Series. Who are we?

I remember reading about a high school in Oakland that produces several Reds players. If memory serves me, I think it was Vada Pinson, Curt Flood, Frank Robinson and Joe Morgan. I think they all played at McClemons high school.

Great job, Rufralf, I thought this might be harder to solve. You have three of the four: Joe Morgan grew up in Oakland and had a connection to the Reds' scout who signed Robinson, Flood, and Pinson, but he attended Castlemont High School, not McClymonds. Still one of the four to identify...
(1) Ernie Lombardi (McClymonds High School; signed by Brooklyn Robins, 1931: Reds WS 1939, 1940) [Rufralf] (2) Frank Robinson (McClymonds High School; signed by Reds, 1953: Reds WS 1961) [Rufralf] (3) Curt Flood (McClymonds High School/Oakland Tech; signed by Reds, 1956: Cardinals WS 1964, 1967, 1968) [Rufralf] (4) Vada Pinson (McClymonds High School; signed by Reds, 1956: Reds WS 1961) [Rufralf]

Yes, good work, Rufralf, Ernie Lombardi was born in Oakland, attended McClymonds High School, and played for a local PCL club before the Brooklyn Robins purchased his contract in 1931. I knew about the 1950s Reds-McClymonds connection from Brad Snyder's book on Curt Flood and came across Lombardi when I looked up the high school. Oakland baseball produced a lot of major league talent in the 1950s, interesting local history...
