Six Reds pitchers have received a first-place vote for the Cy Young Award.
The closest finished received eight. Two other pitchers received two votes. The other three had to be content with a single first-place vote.
Name the six pitchers and the year they received their vote(s).
Two guess per day please.
Eight Votes: Tom Seaver 1981 (vtreds22)
Two Votes: Mario Soto 1983 (psuhistory) Jack Bilingham 1973 (schellis) Tom Seaver 1977 (schellis)
One Vote: Johnny Cueto 2012 (vtreds) Jose Rijo 1991 (schellis) Bob Purkey 1962 (vtreds)

Johnny Cueto - 2012 Tom Seaver - not sure the exact year, had to be in the late 70s/early 80s. 1980?

Jim Maloney Mario Soto
Don't remember the dates of their best seasons: Maloney was a twenty-game winner when that was key, and Soto was a phenom...

Johnny Cueto - 2012 Tom Seaver - not sure the exact year, had to be in the late 70s/early 80s. 1980? Two for two! Seaver had eight first-place votes, and barely lost the CYA in 1981 to Fernando Valenzuela of the Dodgers.

Pete Schoreck 95 Danny Jackson 89 Sorry, no. 1995 Greg Maddux of the Braves swept all 28 first-place votes. Ditto in 1989 when Orel Hershiser of the Dodgers swept all 24 votes. Both Jackson and Schourek finished second in the voting.

Jim Maloney Mario Soto Don't remember the dates of their best seasons: Maloney was a twenty-game winner when that was key, and Soto was a phenom... You got one and missed one. Despite many fine seasons, Maloney never received a first-place CYA vote. Soto did receive two in the 1983 campaign, finishing second John Denny of the Phillies.

Spot on, schellis!
Jack Billingham received two first-place votes in 1973 in his 19-10 campaign for the BRM.
Jose Rijo got a vote in the 1991 campaign.

Time for a hint -- The last CYA was in the early sixties.
