www.daytondailynews.com/s/content/oh/story/sports/pro/dragons/2008/03/31/ddn040108dragons.htmlAn optional workout day, but everybody showed even with the on again/off again rain and a covered infield. Looks like Feiner will start at 2B and not Cabrera like intially thought, and we did get one good quote from manager Donnie Scott: It will be interesting if Reed, Menchaca, or Jones can establish themselves as a legit leadoff hitter with SB potential. All of them have decent to good wheels.

What's the story on Mesoraco? Is he starting out with the Dragons?

What's the story on Mesoraco? Is he starting out with the Dragons? Doesn't sound like it. Hopefully he just has a little bit of extended ST and then comes up with the Dragons in May or something. If he doesn't play until Billings starts in July, then i'll be pissed.

whatever happened to Kenny Lewis. That guy supposedly had some wheels and played outfield. I remember him playing at Billings but then lost track. Anyone know?

I would imagine that you would optimally like to have him up with the Dragons this year. Get him his first exposure of real pro ball, instead of rookie ball and extended Spring Training where he goes up against nobodies...

The only way it makes sense to me is if there is some kind of lingering injury or health concern with Mesoraco. To think that a 1st Round draft pick can't handle low A ball is a bit disconcerting, to say the least. I'm really hoping Lotzkar, Ravin, and Mesoraco all see significant time with Dayton this year.
