Our 2 leading division foes' closers both faltered late today. Gagne blew the save while giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk. Kerry Wood gives up 3 runs on 2 hits and walk in a non-save situation.
Regardless of the Reds faults, we should be able to stick around in this division all year.

I think Eric Gagne could be an unmitigated disaster for the Brewers. He could be almost entirely a steroid creation, so the Brewers may have late inning problems all season long.

I think Gagne is washed up. He thrived on the roids for his recovery time and without them his arm is all torn up. That changeup is never going to be what it once was ever again.

Hopefully the pens of the cubs and brewers can bot impolde this year However, i think Marmol is for real on the Cubs, and he'll be closing soon enough.
