Lets put any in game discussion in this thread, hopefully the rains stay away at least long enough for this to be played.

I won't be torn apart if the game gets pushed back a couple hours. I can't watch until that time anyway....lol. I'll be tracking it on my computer during class.

Been watching the pregame show and Brantley was talking about our pitching for a while.
Talked about how great Coffey has looked this ST. Said he was pitching better than he had all last season.
Talked about how huge pitching between Cueto and Volquez will be for Fogg. Makes a lot of sense and i think his veteran leadership between those two will be huge. The young guys can learn from him that you can pitch with less stuff and be successful if you know how to pitch.
I'm going to be very sad if this game gets pushed back any.

If Coffey returns to 2006 form and stays in the 6th and 7th innings where hebelongs and goes only 1 inning at a time then he could be very effective for the Reds this year. 7th, 8th, and 9th should be Burton, Weathers, and Cordero most every lead we have, and all of those guys can go 3 days in a row if need be. Behind that if you get effective innings from Coffey, Mercker, Lincon, and Affeldt then they can keep people rested. I'll feel better once Bray replaces Lincon and then one of Viola, Roenick, Pelland, Majewski, or McBeth replaces Mercker.

Great idea Duke will keep the board less cluttered. I'm up at college so i probably have more free time than a lot of people lol but I am going to try and get on here early every game day and start a game day thread with line ups pitching match ups injured players key players and standings. Let me know if you wouldn't mind that idea or you think it's unnecessary in starting a gdt

Let me know if you wouldn't mind that idea or you think it's unnecessary in starting a gdt I think its a great idea. Essentially just what we are doing now, preventing thread clutter, plus if there are any other pregame stuff like lineups, starting pitchers, relevant stats, etc... we can keep them centralized. I'm at work 6-5:30 most days so my connectivity is spotty at best so if you would like to do it, it would work out great.

Looks like rain is going to delay the start of the game, hopefully the big break in the radar between the two rain systems will give them 3-31/2 hours to get the game in.

Lets play ball!!
Really cool with the introductions and everyone wearing Nuxy jerseys. Harang is going to keep the jersey on the entire game which is sweet. Gotta love the Cincinnati Reds.

Valentin with a passed ball in his first inning of the year. We need David Ross back in a big way. That last sentance sums up how bad we are at the C position.

Error and a passed ball in the first. Gotta laugh about it, not get worked up. Edwin made a good stop but has to throw the ball across the field and not lob it like that. Oh well, get some runs here and get rollin.

Harang rebounded nicely though and kept it to 1. Hopefully he gets good and settled and rips off the next 6-8 innings. Only 17 in the first so not too bad.

Well, Webb just made the top of the Reds order look silly.

Lets put any in game discussion in this thread, hopefully the rains stay away at least long enough for this to be played. Good idea. I like it. Looks like Harang is going right down to the wire in the Over/Under contest. He's got 5 Ks in 4.0 innings. Disappointing to see Edwin throw it away early. I'd like to see him do well this year, but that's not the way to start.

Harang already has 77 pitches thrown in 4 innings so unless he can pull out a couple 6-8 pitch innings, I don't see him going much longer than 6.
