I played 1 year for the reds. The 7 years prior to being traded to the reds I led the entire major leagues in hits. I will never make the hall of fame but during my 7 year stretch as the majors hit leader, a first ballot hall of famer won 4 batting titles. I finished those 7 years with 75 more hits than the hall of famer. Who am I and who is the hall of famer? Could it be Harry The Hat Walker? I'm guessing Ted Williams was the first ballot HOFer. I know Williams spent 3 years in military and that would explain how Harry had more hits than Ted. By the way, great question!

We have already found the answer, The Hall of fame player was Tony Gwynn and the 1 year reds player was Dante Bichette. Thank you for the compliment.
